Some misconceptions about wound suture

In the micro-plastic industry, some minimally invasive small wounds are certainly inevitable. But it is not a simple matter to make the wound look good.

Many people mistakenly think that sewing wounds and sewing clothes, as long as the sewing is good, the wound will naturally heal better. But that's not true. Wounds heal by growing, not by stitching. Stitching a wound is about closing the wound, bringing the split tissue together on both sides. The speed and quality of wound healing are determined by whether the two sides of the wound are aligned accurately.

If the wound is not properly cross-sected, the stitching margins and needle spacing may be completely different. At this time, the neat arrangement of sutures may not be able to make the wound close.

It is also wrong to think that the denser the stitches, the better the wound will heal. In fact, the suture is also a foreign body, which will stimulate the wound scar. When the needle is inserted into the tissue, it will cause more tissue damage. Therefore, on the basis of fully matching the wound, the less the wound suture is, the better.
